Iowa’s oldest winery

Summerset Winery previous owners started planting grapes on Summerset Ridge in 1989 and became one of the first estate wineries in Iowa. The winery is now over 20 years old and continues to be one of the largest producing wineries in the state. Summerset Winery was sold in 2021 and is still a family owned and operated business that works hard to produce award winning quality wines from local grapes. At the core of it all, we believe that wine should be fun and enjoyed by all. Stop by the winery for a wine tasting, sign up for a cellar tour or grab a glass of wine on the decks overlooking the vineyard.

Handicap Accessibility: The main level, which includes our tasting room, Mural Room, patio and surrounding decks are handicap accessible. Our Grand Banquet Hall located on the second floor, is not handicap accessible.

WINE TASTINGS & TOURS

Summerset Winery offers a variety of wine tastings & tours for all types of occasions. Have a special event or questions, contact us!

We offer wine samples at the bar, and you can purchase by the glass, flight, or by the bottle. We do host weddings and private events, so we require reservations. We offer four types of formal wine tastings, listed below, each can be booked online.

Wine is available by the glass, flight, or bottle and can be enjoyed at the winery in our tasting room, on the deck overlooking the vineyard, or be taken home. Snacks are available for purchase including Milton Creamery cheeses as well as other beverages including local beers and soft drinks. We also have board games and yard games, including a full scale bocci ball court.

Weekdays (Wednesday-Thursday) tend to be quieter and we'd be happy to make special arrangements for larger groups or for corporate outings. Don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or special requests at hello@summersetwine.com.

*Reservations required, we reserve the right to turn away groups of 6 or more that do not reserve in advance. During summer months, tours on Sundays are not available- but come on out for Sunday Tunes!
