Summerset welcomes groups large or small to the winery. There is no charge for wine tastings in the tasting room for groups less than 10. If you would like to schedule a formal tasting with a presenter, and a tour of the cellar please call 515-961-3545 to make an appointment. Fees will apply.
Our tasting room is always open during our regular business hours, Tuesday – Sunday, 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. So come in anytime for complimentary samples of Summerset wine. Self-guided vineyard tours are welcome and many patrons enjoy purchasing a bottle of wine with cheese and crackers and “drinking in” the ambience of the lush landscape.
Saturday tours are not available during harvest season (which occurs late summer, early fall).
We are closed Mondays.
Groups of ten or more may schedule tours by appointment only, fees will apply. Call the Winery at (515) 961-3545 to make arrangements.
Your tour will include the following:
Tour of the winery:
- Wine tasting, presentation of the wines
- Tour and tasting will last approximately 1 hour
Group Tours:
- 2 days prior to your tour we will need you to provide a final count of the number in your group as well as your anticipated time of arrival.
- The total amount due will be paid at the time of the tour. The tour fee is $5.00 per person. Payment may be made with credit card, check or cash. If paying by check, make your check payable to Summerset Winery.
- If you wish to include a cheese/cracker tray an additional $2.00 per person is needed (total of $7.00 per person).
