Our Tasting Room Staff welcomes groups large or small to sample award-winning Summerset Wines.
Groups may schedule a formal 1 hour tour and tasting which includes a guided tour of the winery and cellar, presentation of wines, and wine tasting. Call 515-961-3545 to make an appointment. Fees will apply. *There is no charge for informal tastings at the tasting bar.
Self-guided vineyard tours are welcomed and encouraged. You may choose to purchase a bottle of wine and cheese and crackers and enjoy an hour or so relaxing on a blanket in the lush vineyard.
Please note: Saturday tours are not available during harvest season (which occurs late summer, early fall). We are closed Mondays.
*Tours: 2 days prior to your tour we will need you to provide a final count of the number in your group as well as your anticipated time of arrival. The total amount due will be paid at the time of the tour. The tour fee is $7.00/pp or $9.00/pp with a cheese and cracker tray. Payment may be made with credit card, check or cash. If paying by check, make your check payable to Summerset Winery. A $25 non refundable deposit is due at the time the reservation is made.
We invite adults (over 21 years of age) to sample Summerset Wine at our Tasting Bar. The tasting room and gift shop are always open during regular business hours. Our friendly, experienced, knowledgeable staff will suggest wines, answer questions, and help tasters, from experienced wine lovers to experimenting wine newbees, discover the flavors of Iowa-grown grapes and the award-winning Summerset Wines.
Surprise your friends or out of town guests with a trip to Summerset Winery. Once you arrive, ask your friendly clerk to take your group on a tour of the largest producing winery in the State. It is an educational and memorable experience with a unique and interesting story.

If you choose, bring a picnic and head to the vineyards. No matter where you land, you'll enjoy your time at Summerset Winery.
