Women! Grab your girlfriends, sisters and mothers and make plans to join us on November 7th from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM for a fun afternoon of wine, lunch, fashion and shopping at Summerset Winery. We'll be showcasing some of the best jewelry, spa & clothing items around. The cost is $35.00 per person and includes wine reception, gourmet boxed lunch, wine, gift bag, giveaways - and tons of fun! Professional Organizer, Mary Sigmann, will be our main speaker and will give us advice on how to clear the clutter in our lives! Guests are invited to sign up to get their hair and make up done at the Ultra Salon booth or receive a spray tan or massage from Morning Rain Massage & Day Spa. Lunch
will be catered by Judge's Signature catering and will include a turkey croissant with cranberry chutney, pasta salad and seasonal fresh fruit. A decadent dessert table will be offered following lunch. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions we should be aware of and we will try to accommodate.

On September 19-20 the good folke of the Des Moines Renaissance Faire invite you to walk the plank! The 19th is International Talk Like A Pirate Day. Come rub shoulders with the scurviest dogs you've ever met this side of the high seas. Or toss back a tankard with the prettiest and liveliest wenches in all of Christendom. Aaargh, mateys!

The past three Saturdays have been packed with fun, wine, stomping, picking and GREAT weather! We have picked the Foch, Frontenac, Vignoles, Edelweiss and GR7. This weekend we will be picking the Niagara and then on the 26th we will pick Concord and St Vincent. Thank you to all of our harvesters and volunteers we couldn't do it without you. Summerset has the BEST customers around!

There is a cover charge to attend Sunday Tunes concerts; $3 per person or $10 a car. Case Club members get in free. In addition to great Summerset wine, patrons may also purchase pop, water, cheese, crackers, and summer sausage to enjoy during the concert or to take home. Bring your own chair! Seating is limited so it is highly recommended that guests bring their own chair to sit in during our Sunday Tunes.

Heart of Iowa Wine Trail to Host "Culinary Celebration"
Now through end of the month
The Heart of Iowa Wine Trail is hosting a Culinary Celebration event through September 31, 2009. Just purchase a high quality, Heart of Iowa special edition apron at any of the participating wineries as their ticket for this event. During the event, participants can visit all fifteen Heart of Iowa Wine Trail wineries and collect a unique culinary tool at each one. After visiting all 15 wineries, participants will have an apron along with a complete selection of culinary tools useful for both kitchen and outdoor barbecue. Cost is $40.00. Participation in this event will be limited with only 150 aprons available for sale. See a complete apron set at Summerset Winery.
As an added incentive to visit as many of the wineries as possible, the wine trail is concluding the event with a grand prize drawing that brings true culinary meaning to the celebration - a random drawing for one of three grand prize vouchers each worth a retail value of $250 in quality Iowa meat.
