2010 Iowa Wine and Beer Directory Now Available
February 16, 2010 (Des Moines, IA) – Iowa now boasts 71 wineries and 23 breweries, according to the new Iowa Wine & Beer Directory. The guide is available free from any Iowa Welcome Center, at any of the included wineries or breweries or for order online at www.iowawineandbeer.com
"The growth continues," said LuAnn Reinders of the Iowa Wine & Beer Promotion Board. "Since last year, we've added a dozen wineries and five new beer producers. The wine and beer industry has a great impact on Iowa's economy. According to the latest Iowa Welcome Center survey, travelers interested in wineries spent an average of $236 per travel party per day."
Redesigns to the guide include four pages of wine trails to showcase Iowa's five wine trails and a new color coded map indicating wineries and breweries. Each listing includes information on amenities such as a tasting room, guided tour, special events, process viewing room, gift shop, motorcoach/RV parking, wheelchair accessibility, picnic area, and/or wedding and reception facilities.
"The directory is a great tool for anyone planning a trip that includes Iowa wineries or breweries," said Reinders. "I've even heard of people using it as a checklist and marking off each listing as they've visited that location."

Summerset Winery's Case Club rewards program rewards our best customers for purchasing one case (12 bottles) of wine. This first case initiates your annual membership. A pink sticker will be affixed to your club card which indicates each case purchased for 2009/2010. "Club" members receive a Club Card when they join that will accrue one point for every dollar spent. After the initial case is purchased, individual bottles and retail store items can also be added to the points on their Club Card. When 250 points have been reached they may be redeemed for a $25 gift certificate. Points may either be redeemed in $25 increments or may continue to accrue if the member chooses. A minimum of one case needs to be purchased annually to keep your membership active. Colored stickers will indicate current membership and only current members will receive the benefits of the program. Club cards without a pink sticker will not be eligible to add points after 10/01/2010.
In addition to the Club Card reward system, members can attend our Sunday Tunes for free and will also be invited to attend our bi–annual Case Club parties. These outrageously fun parties are completely free to members and include dinner, wine, live music and special store discounts. Members must renew once a year by filling out the membership form when they purchase their case.
